Scrypster was founded in 2018 as a technology consultancy and education platform. What started as freelance engineering and YouTube tutorials evolved into a company that architects and builds production-grade platforms for organizations solving hard problems.
Our work spans public safety, government, benefits administration, and enterprise SaaS. MJ is a founding member of Online Policing Solutions and the architect behind its entire technology platform. Through Scrypster, he designed and built the OPS product ecosystem — OPS LENS, NPS-AID, and OPS Hubs — three platforms now serving 600+ law enforcement agencies across 31 states. We're currently building Simplorium, a modern benefits administration platform purpose-built for third-party administrators in the Taft-Hartley industry.

Founder
MJ Bonanno
MJ has been building technology for over 20 years — managing servers and networks at 13, shipping production software by 16, and launching his first company in his early twenties. He's the kind of engineer who learned by doing, not by studying, and that foundation shapes every engagement Scrypster takes on.
As an engineering executive, he scaled a team from 5 to 25 engineers across distributed locations and led the organization through a major acquisition. As a founding member of Online Policing Solutions, he architected and built the entire OPS product ecosystem — OPS LENS, NPS-AID, and OPS Hubs — three platforms now serving 600+ agencies across 31 states.
